House of Bread in the flesh/Last weekend at The Brass Rail.

House of Bread Band In Rehearsal:
Earlier this evening was the very first practice of House of Bread as a three piece. 5 songs were worked on and nearly completed. Dan, James, and myself are extremely excited about upcoming House of Bread shows. It will be about a month before actual show dates are announced. Also, the album "Out of Sight: Because You Hear It" is nearing completion. Seriously, this shit is about 90% done. Expect raincoats, metal, cutesy pop songs, shredding, gigantic drum fills, dancing, candy, blood, glitter, gore, and rainbow orgies.

The Brass Rail 2/17:
Ahem, last weekend at The Brass Rail was wondrous. Shit. Dust From 1000 Years was deep and moving (despite the fact that they didn't play Sandia Mt. - FU guys....) El Boxeo somehow brought the groove hard with only bass, violin, tap dancing, and drums. Weird, awesome. We (All Nite Skate) attempted to play a more deep, serious, metal set....but gave in with an encore of Andre The Giant. It was Justin's birthday, and that was awesome. We danced, and that was far out. I got to hang out with long time buddy and life partner from Dust, David (we were in Omargosh! and Ghosts on TV together) and that was grand.

Also:
A limited number of House of Bread 2007 Samplers were handed out to random individuals at The Brass Rail show last weekend. The sampler included a few tracks off of the upcoming "Out of Sight: Because You Hear It", the 2006 album, "House That Bread Built" and random outtakes and covers. I hope you all are enjoying those.

More things that I'm excited about:
  • Pelican playing in Toledo, OH in March
  • Lightning Bolt finally playing in Bloomington, IN in April.
  • The melting of snow
  • Explosions In The Sky on Conan (they'll be on in about 40 minutes)
P.S. I'll probably post pictures, once they show up of the 2/17 show at The Brass Rail.
